Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive Officer, Commercial Accounts, based in Spokane Valley, WA. You will partner with agents and brokers to provide property, general liability, auto, and workers' compensation coverage for new and renewal business.

This role requires the ability to assess complex risk and build strong relationships to drive profitability. Ideal candidates have 6–8 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines, a CPCU designation, and excellent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of relevant underwriting experience with commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products, regulatory environment, and local insurance market.
• Strong critical thinking to identify challenges and make timely decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to negotiate with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet in person with agents/brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD to align regional goals.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
