Bachelor’s degree required.
Three to five years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
Knowledge of commercial lines products, regulatory environment, and local market.
Strong critical thinking to identify challenges and make timely decisions.
Proven negotiation and communication skills with agents/brokers.

Responsibilities

Manage profitability, growth, and retention of assigned book of business.
Underwrite and negotiate accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
Meet agents and brokers in person to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
Identify new business opportunities using consultative sales skills.
Develop and execute agency sales plans and region plans.
Perform other duties as assigned.
