Job summary

Travelers in Spokane Valley seeks an Account Executive Officer for Commercial Accounts to partner with agents and brokers and provide property, general liability, commercial auto, and workers’ compensation coverage for new and renewal business. The role requires assessing complex risk and selling our products while building internal and external relationships to drive profitability.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines, a bachelor’s degree, CPCU

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6–8 years of underwriting experience with commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products and regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent negotiation with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products; travel as needed.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop agency sales plans with Managing Director to create regional sales strategies.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
