Job summary

Newmark is seeking a Senior Appraiser in Pasadena, CA to independently value complex commercial properties for disputes, underwriting, and acquisitions. You will prepare complete appraisal reports, inspect sites, and collaborate with senior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Ideal candidates hold a CGA license, a real estate or finance degree (MS/MBA preferred), 3–6 years of CRE appraisal experience, and strong writing, analytical, and client communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, economics, or finance; advanced degree preferred.
• State-certified General Appraiser license is required.
• 3–6 years of commercial real estate appraisal experience.
• Experience writing appraisal reports and reviews for complex properties.
• Knowledge of valuation concepts and property tax processes.
• Proficiency with Argus and appraisal software.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete appraisal reports independently on complex properties.
• Conduct full commercial property appraisals to establish market value.
• Engage in client meetings and review processes with senior staff.
• Maintain familiarity with applicable government regulations and standards.
• Inspect properties and utilize relevant data sources.
• Produce formal rebuttal letters and complete review responses as needed.
