Qualifications

• Underwrite loans in compliance with bank policy and regulations.
• Analyze cash flows, collateral, and industry risks.
• Prepare credit write-ups and present to lenders.
• Review appraisals and third-party reports.
• Mentor junior analysts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Apply credit culture and policies; act as policy expert.
• Compile financial data to assess repayment capacity.
• Undertake underwriting in line with regulations and bank policy.
• Accept requests from borrowers and decide to proceed or declinate.
• Recommend risk grades with justifications.
• Assist in portfolio management and annual review processes.
• Analyze financial statements and tax returns; review proformas.
• Develop loan covenants and structures.
• Support loan closings and document prep with outside counsel.
• Present credit requests to approvers and committees.
• Gather third-party borrower information and reconcile inconsistencies.
• Prepare reports and monitor financial metrics.
• Maintain compliance and risk management awareness.
• Deliver high service levels.
• Other duties as assigned.
