Job summary

Park National Bank in Columbus, OH seeks a Senior Credit Analyst to apply credit culture and policies to loan requests, including cash flow, collateral, industry, and management analysis. You will underwrite independently in compliance with current regulations and bank policy, and support commercial lenders in portfolio management.

Responsibilities include presenting loan requests, analyzing financial statements, developing covenants, and mentoring junior analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/finance; five years of relevant experience required.
• Ability to apply credit policies and make independent risk judgments.
• Experience with financial statement analysis, cash flow, and loan underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Apply credit culture and policies; act as policy expert in loan requests.
• Analyze cash flow, collateral, industry, and management to assess repayment capacity.
• Underwrite independently in compliance with regulations and bank policy.
• Assess and decide on credit requests; communicate decisions to borrowers.
• Recommend risk grades with supporting analysis and mitigants.
• Assist in portfolio management, annual reviews, and regulatory examinations.
• Review financial statements and tax returns; prepare loan write-ups.
• Develop loan covenants and structures to mitigate risk.
• Train and mentor junior analysts; may supervise a small team.
• Engage in site visits, loan closings, and customer communications.
• Present loan requests to approvers and Loan Committee when needed.
• Obtain third-party information and maintain data integrity.
• Prepare reports and track financial information; support compliance duties.
