Job summary

Park National Corporation is seeking an experienced credit underwriting professional in Chattanooga to apply credit culture and analyze loan requests. You will independently underwrite, assess cash flow, collateral, industry and management risks, and determine repayment capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance preferred; High School diploma required.
• Experience in credit underwriting and risk assessment desirable.
• Strong analytical and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Apply bank credit culture and policies; act as policy expert.
• Underwrite loan requests per regulations and bank policy.
• Evaluate requests from borrowers and make initial declination/proceed decisions.
• Recommend risk grades with supporting analysis and mitigants.
• Assist lenders with portfolio management and annual reviews; support in examinations.
• Spread and analyze financial statements and tax returns; assess historical performance.
• Develop loan covenants and structures to mitigate risk.
• Train and mentor junior analysts as needed.
• Review appraisals for market and credit risks; liaise with outside counsel.
