Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business field; finance/accounting preferred.
• At least five years of relevant credit underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of credit policies and risk analysis.
• Experience with loan documentation and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Apply credit policies and perform policy-based risk assessment.
• Prepare financial data and cash flow, collateral, and industry analyses.
• Underwrite loans in line with regulations and bank policy.
• Interact with borrowers to determine credit viability and decisions.
• Recommend risk grades with justification.
• Support commercial lenders in portfolio management and reviews.
• Analyze financial statements and tax returns; assess historical performance.
• Develop loan covenants and structures to mitigate risk.
• Assist in training junior analysts and oversee small teams.
• Review appraisals and work with outside counsel on docs.
• Participate in customer meetings and loan closings as needed.
• Present loan requests to approvers and committees.
• Obtain third-party information and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare reports and monitor compliance with risk management.
