Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business field, preferably finance or accounting; five years relevant experience required.
• Experience in credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, cash flow, and collateral analysis.
• Ability to apply credit culture and bank policies in underwriting and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Soundly apply the bank’s credit culture and credit policies; is considered a policy expert
• Use independent judgment in compiling financial data for credit risk in loan requests including cash flow and collateral analysis
• Independently complete underwriting in compliance with regulations, bank policy, and legal requirements
• Accept credit requests and make initial declination or proceeding decisions
• Recommend appropriate risk grades with supporting justification
• Assist in portfolio management functions and annual review processes
• Spread financial statements and tax returns and analyze historical performance
• Develop loan covenants and structures to manage risk
• Train junior analysts as needed
• Review appraisals for market and economic risks
• Work with outside counsel to prepare loan documentation
• Attend customer meetings and handle simple closings
• Present loan requests to approvers and loan committee as needed
• Obtain and analyze third-party borrower information
• Prepare pertinent reports and track financial information
• Monitor compliance and risk management practices
• Deliver high level service within Serving More standards
• Other duties as assigned
