Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Commercial Analyst Lead to direct a team of Middle Market Commercial Analysts supporting Sales Leaders and Relationship Managers with sales and lending activities. The CA Lead will overseeCA workflow for consistency and accuracy while hiring, onboarding, and nurturing talent.

The role partners with Middle Market Leadership, Credit and Underwriting to identify improvements, manage staff, and travel to engage with clients and teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years commercial banking experience (credit structuring & analysis, sales, risk).
• Minimum of 5 years in Credit Structuring & Financial Analysis (preferred).
• Leadership experience (1+ year) and ability to manage complex deals.
• Excellent knowledge of commercial loan and deposit documentation.
• Ability to build relationships across teams and drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Directly interact with Regional Sales Executive and Relationship Managers on market strategy.
• Provide direction and accountability for results of Commercial Analysts.
• Audit CA workflow to ensure process adherence and accuracy in outputs.
• Hire, onboard, and train new Commercial Analysts and conduct performance reviews.
• Partner with leadership and HR to identify training opportunities and skill assessments.
• Communicate process or policy changes to the team and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Credit and Underwriting to improve credit and underwriting processes.
• Manage staff and controllable expenses; travel periodically to engage teams.
