Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Commercial Analyst Team Lead to guide a team of Commercial Analysts supporting Commercial Leaders and Relationship Managers. You will recruit, mentor, and develop analysts while managing a focused portfolio of credit-related activities to maintain technical expertise and best practices.

You will collaborate with Sales, Credit, Underwriting, and stakeholders to align resources, improve processes, and drive market growth and client service objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial middle market banking experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership or team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lending products and underwriting.
• Experience with complex credit structures and client risk assessment.
• Familiarity with commercial loan documentation.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and build stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Analysts to support growth and performance.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide coaching and development support.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and train Commercial Analysts for successful integration.
• Identify high-potential talent and support succession planning.
• Provide direction and drive accountability for performance and workflow.
• Serve as day-to-day point of contact for process questions and system issues.
• Monitor workload, capacity, and resource allocation to ensure coverage.
• Review and provide feedback on work product for quality and consistency.
• Manage a limited portfolio of commercial banking relationships and credit activities.
• Partner with Commercial Leaders and Relationship Managers on sales strategy.
• Provide guidance on complex credit structures and financial analysis.
• Ensure adherence to credit, underwriting, risk, and operational procedures.
