Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Commercial Analyst Lead in Cleveland to direct a team of Middle Market Commercial Analysts supporting Sales Leaders and Relationship Managers in sales and lending activities. You will oversee CA workflow, ensure consistency and accuracy of outputs, and lead hiring, onboarding, and development of the team.

You will partner with Credit, Underwriting, and HR to drive ongoing process improvements, manage staff costs, and travel periodically to engage with teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial banking experience including credit structuring & analysis, sales, risk assessment, and related products/services.
• Minimum of 5 years in Commercial Middle Market Credit Structuring & Financial Analysis.
• Ability to manage workflow and complex deals; handle stress and competing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of commercial loan and deposit documentation.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Regional Sales Executive, Commercial Sales Leaders, and Relationship Managers on in-market sales strategy and support.
• Direct and drive accountability for results of Commercial Analysts.
• Ensure responsible use of systems for client service and risk management.
• Monitor and audit Commercial Analyst workflow following prescribed processes.
• Review CA outputs for consistency and accuracy (pre-flight, pitch books, collaboration, communications).
• Hire, onboard, and train new Commercial Analysts; conduct performance reviews.
• Partner with leadership, HR, Credit, and Underwriting to identify process improvements.
• Serve as central contact for CA day-to-day responsibilities and questions.
• Communicate changes in processes, policies, or role-related topics.
• Collaborate with partners to improve credit and underwriting workflows.
• Plan and manage staff and controllable expenses.
• Occasional travel to meet teams, bank events, and client meetings.
