Job summary
Oscar Health Insurance is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Cloud Infrastructure / SRE to join our Core Technology team. You will help architect a resilient, automated platform using AWS/GCP, Terraform, and Kubernetes, enabling fast, secure development across Oscar’s engineering org.
You will report into a Staff/Senior Staff Engineer and work fully remote with potential hybrid evolution. This role emphasizes SRE discipline, observability, and cross-team collaboration across a modern cloud
Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience as a major contributor cross-pod or cross-company deliverables.
- Experience leading technical contributions and building scalable systems.
- Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering concepts and incident management.
- Deep expertise in managing production environments in AWS or GCP at scale.
Responsibilities
- Become the expert on your team's business and technical domains.
- Lead planning, execution and release of complex projects across multiple teams.
- Mentor engineers and drive adoption of best practices.
- Design and implement resilient, scalable infrastructure and services.
- Define and guide Service-Level Objectives (SLOs) for systems.
