Oscar Health is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure / SRE to join our Engineering team. This remote role targets candidates in the Boston area, with future hybrid possibilities.

You will architect a resilient, automated infrastructure on AWS/GCP using Terraform and Kubernetes, enabling secure, scalable delivery across the platform. You will report into a Staff/Senior Staff Engineer and collaborate with Core Technology to advance cloud-native practices and site reliability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience leading cross-pod or cross-company deliverables
• Mentoring and training junior engineers
• Experience building fault-tolerant, scalable systems
• CS concepts applied in teams

Responsibilities

• Become the expert on team domains such as DevOps, site reliability, and cloud best practices
• Lead planning, execution and release of complex technical projects across multiple teams
• Collaborate with partners, product managers, and designers to solve challenging problems
• Mentor engineers to improve technology and practices
• Own medium to large features or infrastructure projects from design to completion
