Job summary

Oscar Health seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure / SRE to join our Core Technology team. This fully remote role is open to candidates in the United States, with potential future hybrid options in the Bay Area. The base pay range is $180,504 to $236,911 per year, plus equity, unlimited vacation, and annual bonuses.

You will lead complex projects, mentor engineers, and help build a resilient, scalable platform using AWS/GCP, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience leading cross‑pod or cross‑company deliverables.
• Experience mentoring and training more junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Become the expert on your team's domains such as DevOps, site reliability, and cloud best practices.
• Lead planning, execution and release of complex projects across teams outside Core Technology.
• Collaborate with partners, product managers, and designers to solve challenging problems.
• Mentor engineers to improve technology and practices.
• Own medium to large features or infrastructure projects from design to completion.
• Define and drive technical roadmap and influence product roadmap.
• Design resilient systems and reduce failure domains.
