Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to maintain and improve existing database systems and assist in designing new ones using the latest technologies. You will work across on-premises and cloud databases while addressing incidents and SLA targets with a proactive mindset.

As part of the data team, you will design schemas, optimize queries, and collaborate with Architecture, QA, and Infrastructure to implement scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years database analysis, programming or similar experience.
• ~ Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Senior Database Developer or equivalent.
• ~ Extensive hands-on experience in SQL 2016 and higher.
• ~ Hands on experience with cloud-based database systems in Azure using Managed Instance, Azure SQL Hyperscale, Azure SQL DB, and VMs.
• Extensive experience dealing with multiple large (2+ TB) databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects (indexes, views, procedures) in on-prem and cloud databases.
• Recommend database approaches and design to architecture staff.
• Drive innovation with newer data technologies.
• Establish coding standards for stored procedures, triggers, and schema design.
• Review and approve complex structural changes to the database.
