Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to design, optimize, and maintain complex databases across on-premise and cloud environments. You will lead performance tuning, data security, and incident response, collaborating with Architecture, QA, and Infra teams.

Strong SQL, Azure, and ETL tooling are required. The role offers a remote or hybrid work arrangement with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years database analysis, programming or similar experience.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Senior Database Developer or equivalent.
• Extensive hands-on experience in SQL 2016 and higher.
• Cloud-based database systems in Azure with Managed Instance, Azure SQL Hyperscale, Azure SQL DB, and VMs.
• Experience with OLTP/OLAP optimization and complex SQL development.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects on premise and in cloud.
• Optimize queries and maintain efficient SQL code.
• Lead incident resolution and monitor database performance.
• Implement data retention, security, and encryption controls.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, and Infra teams to enforce standards.
