Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to maintain and improve database systems, both on-premise and in the cloud, and to help design new data architectures. You will manage performance, security, and incidents while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years database analysis, programming or similar experience.
• 4+ years as Senior Database Developer or equivalent.
• Extensive hands-on experience in SQL 2016+.
• Cloud-based Azure databases experience (Managed Instance, Azure SQL Hyperscale, Azure SQL DB, VMs).
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and ETL tooling.
• Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects in on-premise and cloud databases.
• Optimize queries and develop efficient SQL code.
• Lead investigation and resolution of database incidents within SLA.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, App Development and Infrastructure teams.
• Implement data retention, tiering, and archive strategies.
• Advise on coding standards for stored procedures and triggers.
• Monitor database performance and develop dashboards using SSMS, Grafana, PowerBI, or similar.
