Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to maintain and improve existing database systems and design new ones using the latest techniques. The role emphasizes performance tuning, complex SQL development, and ensuring security and compliance across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will work with Architecture, QA, Application Development and Infrastructure to implement robust data solutions and monitor databases with modern tools and dashboards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years database analysis, programming or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects (indexes, views, procedures) in on-premise and cloud databases.
• Perform performance tuning and optimize SQL code and queries.
• Review and approve complex structural changes to database schemas.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for database health.
• Ensure database security, encryption, and compliance controls.
• Advise on data retention, tiering, and archiving for large production databases.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, and Infrastructure teams on data solutions.
