Job summary
Fuze Health Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead the Hospice business unit's cloud database modernization.
You will drive the migration from SQL Server on EC2 to AWS RDS, upgrade SQL Server versions ahead of end of support, and modernize SSIS ETL and SSRS reporting. You will optimize costs, mentor the Hospice DBA team, implement monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch, ensure HITRUST/HIPAA compliance, and collaborate with DevOps on Terraform for infrastructure automation.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of database administration experience.
- Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) performance tuning and HA/DR.
- Hands-on in SQL Server upgrades and end-of-support migrations.
- Proficiency with SSIS ETL and SSRS reporting.
- Experience with AWS RDS, DMS, Glue and cloud-native ETL.
- Understanding HITRUST/HIPAA and regulatory environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2 and migration to RDS.
- Migrate and maintain SSIS/SSRS workloads in AWS.
- Optimize costs via right-sizing and Reserved Instances.
- Mentor Hospice SQL DBA team on AWS DB ops.
- Implement monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch.
- Design automated backup and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with DevOps on Terraform for RDS.
- Ensure HITRUST E1 compliance.
- Support database-related development for Hospice app.
- Explore PostgreSQL/Aurora future roadmap.
