Fuze Health is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our Technology Platform team for the Hospice unit. You will lead the AWS database modernization, migrating SQL Server on EC2 to AWS RDS and upgrading beyond SQL Server 2016, while modernizing SSIS ETL and SSRS reporting.

You will optimize costs, mentor the Hospice SQL DBA team, implement cloud monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch, and ensure HITRUST compliance.

Competenze

• 8+ years of database administration experience.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery.
• Hands-on upgrades and end-of-support migrations (SQL Server 2016).
• Strong SSIS and SSRS experience.
• Experience with AWS RDS (SQL Server) setup and multi-AZ.
• Experience with AWS-native ETL and data migration tooling (AWS DMS, AWS Glue) and/or plan to modernize SSIS-based ETL in AWS.
• Experience with database migrations (on-prem to AWS).
• Backup/restore strategies and PITR understanding.
• Monitoring tools: Datadog, CloudWatch, DMVs.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures.
• Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2).

• Drive database cost optimization and licensing efficiency.

• Establish cloud-native monitoring and baselines.
• Design automated backup, restore, DR processes with AWS Backup.
• Coordinate with DevOps for Terraform-based RDS provisioning.
• Ensure HITRUST compliance across databases.
• Support Hospice app with database needs.
