Fuze Health seeks a Senior Database Administrator to lead modernization of the Hospice SQL estate on AWS, migrating and optimizing SQL Server on EC2, and guiding a move to AWS RDS/SSIS-SSRS modernization. You will drive cost optimization and cloud best practices across the team.

You will mentor junior DBAs, implement monitoring with Datadog/CloudWatch, and ensure HITRUST E1 compliance while collaborating with DevOps for Terraform automation and future PostgreSQL/Aurora consideration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in database administration.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery.
• Hands-on experience with version upgrades and end-of-support migrations.
• Strong hands-on experience with SSIS and SSRS.
• Experience with AWS RDS (SQL Server) setup, migration and monitoring.
• Experience with AWS-native ETL and data migration tools (DMS, Glue).
• Experience with Terraform for database infrastructure management.
• Experience with Windows Server administration.
• AWS certifications (Database Specialty, Solutions Architect) is a plus.
• Mentoring junior DBAs or developers on database best practices.

Responsabilités

• Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2 and migration to AWS RDS.
• Assess and migrate SSIS ETL and SSRS reporting, or re-platform in AWS-native services.
• Drive database cost optimization and licensing reduction.
• Upskill Hospice SQL DBA team on cloud database operations.
• Establish cloud-native monitoring and performance baselines with Datadog and CloudWatch.
• Design automated backup, restore and disaster recovery processes with AWS Backup.
• Collaborate with DevOps on infrastructure automation (Terraform).
• Ensure HITRUST E1 compliance across database systems.
• Support Hospice application with database-related development needs.
• Evaluate future modernization opportunities (PostgreSQL, Aurora).
