Job summary

Fuze Health Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead our Hospice platform's database modernization. You will drive SQL Server upgrades, migrate to AWS RDS, and modernize SSIS/SSRS while optimizing costs and enforcing HITRUST compliance.

You will mentor the Hospice DBA team, implement cloud-native monitoring, and collaborate with DevOps on Terraform automation, planning future PostgreSQL/Aurora options for 2027 roadmap.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of database administration experience.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) performance tuning, HA and DR.
• Hands-on with SQL Server upgrades and end-of-support migrations.
• Strong experience with SSIS/SSRS and AWS-native ETL/tools.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infra management and cloud monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2 and migration to AWS RDS
• Assess, migrate, and maintain SSIS ETL and SSRS reports
• Drive database cost optimization and right-sizing
• Upskill Hospice SQL DBA team on AWS database operations
• Design cloud-native monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch
• Implement automated backup, restore, and DR using AWS Backup
• Collaborate with DevOps on Terraform automation
• Ensure HITRUST E1 compliance across databases
• Support Hospice application data needs
• Explore PostgreSQL/Aurora options for 2027 roadmap
