Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead the Hospice SQL Server modernization on AWS, migrating to RDS and upgrading from SQL Server 2016. You will optimize costs and mentor the Hospice DBA team, ensuring HITRUST compliance and cloud best practices.

You will collaborate with DevOps on Terraform, and establish monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch to support nationwide hospice applications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in database administration.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) performance tuning and high availability.
• Hands-on experience with SSIS/SSRS and SQL Server upgrades/migrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2 and migration to AWS RDS or upgrade off SQL Server 2016.
• Migrate and maintain SSIS ETL packages and SSRS reports, possibly migrating to AWS-native ETL/reporting.
• Drive database cost optimization via right-sizing, RI evaluation, and storage tiering.
