Job summary

AXA XL is seeking a Head of Claims Analytics – Americas to define and lead the regional analytics strategy across the claims function. You will govern performance, drive transformative initiatives, and partner with global teams to embed analytics into underwriting and portfolio decisions.

You will lead a high-performing analytics organization, establish governance, and shape the technology roadmap with a focus on measurable business impact across the Americas region.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading complex cross-functional analytics and transformation programs in P&C insurance.
• Deep claims expertise and commercial acumen influencing underwriting strategy and pricing.
• Executive presence with ability to translate data insights into decisions for senior leadership.
• Proven leadership building high-performing teams across regional or international environments.
• Experience applying Agile and traditional program-delivery methodologies.
• Strong data governance, data quality, and analytics capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication across functions.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Americas Claims Analytics strategy with measurable improvements in performance and profitability.
• Lead cross-functional analytics, performance, and transformation initiatives with clear priorities and ownership.
• Build and mature a high-performing Claims Analytics capability including governance and talent needs.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and priorities from data and market intelligence to influence strategy.
• Own the regional claims performance framework: KPIs, scorecards, and governance.
• Oversee data governance agenda with global teams to ensure reliable insights.
• Define and execute the regional AI and technology roadmap for claims.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and partnerships to strengthen claims performance.
• Lead change management for new analytics capabilities and ways of working.
• Advise senior executives on priorities, investments, and capability-building needs.
