Job summary

AXA XL in New York, NY is seeking a Head of Claims Analytics – Americas to define and lead the regional analytics strategy. You will work with Claims, Underwriting, Actuarial, Tech, and Data & Analytics to deliver measurable improvements and competitive advantage across BU Americas.

You will build governance, drive capabilities, and partner with global teams to ensure data quality, insights, and action translate into outcomes and profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; insurance certifications are a plus.
• Extensive experience leading complex cross‑functional analytics in P&C.
• Strong executive presence and ability to translate insights for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and execution of the Americas Claims Analytics strategy with measurable improvements.
• Lead cross‑functional analytics, performance, and transformation initiatives across the function.
• Build and develop a high‑performing Claims Analytics capability with governance routines and quality standards.
• Use data and market intelligence to identify risks, opportunities, and priorities influencing underwriting and portfolio strategy.
• Own the regional performance management framework, KPIs, scorecards, and leakage management with action governance.
• Oversee data governance with global teams, setting core data elements and reporting standards.
• Partner with leaders to define and execute AI/tech roadmaps, pilots, and scalable solutions.
• Identify emerging technologies and external partnerships to strengthen claims performance and client outcomes.
• Lead change and adoption strategies for new analytics capabilities and ways of working.
• Advise senior leadership on priorities, investments, and capability building.
