Job summary

AXA XL in the United States is hiring a Head of Claims Analytics – Americas to define and execute the regional analytics strategy for claims, leading complex cross-functional programs and driving measurable improvements in performance and profitability.

The role reports to the Chief Claims Officer, Americas, and partners with global teams to mature the Claims Analytics capability, embed data governance, and implement an AI-driven technology roadmap across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; insurance certifications such as AIC, CPCU, ARM, or similar are a plus.
• Extensive experience leading complex, cross-functional analytics, claims performance, or transformation programs within the P&C insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development, implementation, and success of the Americas Claims Analytics strategy, with accountability for improvements in claims performance and profitable growth.
• Lead the strategic execution of the Americas Claims function’s analytics, performance, and transformation initiatives, aligning senior leaders around priorities.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Claims Analytics capability with governance routines and quality standards.
• Identify emerging risks, opportunities, and priorities that influence underwriting and portfolio strategy.
• Own and embed the regional claims performance management framework with KPIs, scorecards, and governance.
• Own the Americas Claims data governance agenda with core data elements and data quality expectations.
• Define and execute the regional Claims AI and technology roadmap, prioritizing pilots and scalable solutions.
• Identify emerging technologies and partnerships to strengthen claims performance and client outcomes.
• Lead change and adoption strategies for new analytics capabilities and governance.
