Job summary

AXIS Capital is seeking a Head of Insights & Analytics – Claims to lead analytics, AI and data product delivery across the Claims function. You will partner with Claims leadership, Reserving, Actuarial and Finance to translate priorities into actionable analytics strategies and scalable solutions.

You will drive self‑service analytics, establish governance, and deliver measurable business value through data‑driven insights while guiding a team of analytics professionals in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

Experience leading analytics, BI, data or AI teams.
Experience partnering with Claims, Insurance Ops, Actuarial or Reserving functions.
Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into practical analytics solutions.
Experience delivering measurable outcomes through analytics or AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary Data & Analytics partner for Claims leadership.
Translate business needs into a prioritised portfolio of insights, analytics and AI initiatives.
Own delivery of Claims reporting, dashboards, analytics and AI capabilities.
Lead evolution from operational reporting to predictive/prescriptive insights.
Collaborate with Reserving to align analytics priorities across Claims.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and modern analytics.
Ensure analytics initiatives link to measurable business value.
Engage senior stakeholders and communicate complex concepts clearly.
Lead and develop the Insights & Analytics team aligned to Claims.
Ensure governance and data management standards are followed.
