Job summary

Granite Construction in Irving, TX seeks a seasoned Construction Project Lead to steer projects up to $15 million, directing budgeting, bid-to-build processes, and kickoff planning. You’ll oversee a team of engineers, foremen, and Superintendents to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with a strong safety culture.

The role requires 3–5 years in heavy civil environments, plus 5+ years in paving, dirt and grading, and a solid grasp of union and wage rules.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• Minimum of 5 years paving, dirt, and grading experience in private or public settings.
• Knowledge of paving, underground, concrete and grading practices; union agreements and prevailing wage issues.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project revenue and costs to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and controls to establish budgets.
• Lead estimating on integrated projects to ensure accurate bid-to-build process.
• Develop startup plans with sponsors and project teams to ensure a successful kickoff.
• Maintain client relationships with owners, agencies, and subcontractors for long-term partnerships.
• Ensure accurate construction reports and optimize performance for profitability.
• Uphold corporate safety initiatives and ensure a safe work environment.
