Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to coordinate and supervise all mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance for Kilns, Mills, Crushers, and conveying systems in a cement plant. The role oversees maintenance engineering services for improvements and capital projects, supervising a large team within the maintenance department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in related maintenance functions with supervisory responsibilities in a cement or related industry preferred.
• Minimum 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, electrical, or a closely related field of engineering.
• Knowledge of MSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to analyze facts and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at a conclusion.
• Ability to lead, direct, and manage organizations, programs, and people.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Establishes, communicates, and assigns job responsibilities, goals, and performance standards for employees within the Maintenance Department.
• Reviews, plans, schedules and supervises maintenance repair and preventive maintenance activities for the plant.
• Obtains, coordinates, and supervises the work of contractors.
