Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Production Superintendent to organize and schedule activities of production crews to meet clinker and cement goals. You will coordinate with maintenance, shipping, quarry and lab teams to ensure production aligns with schedules and quality specs.

Leading a medium-sized team, you will monitor safety, train staff, and drive continuous improvement while supervising shift operations, including night/weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, math, or related field.
• 5+ years in similar production roles at a cement/industrial facility.
• Ability to lead and manage others.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Prioritize and assign tasks for production teams.
• Direct production operations to meet goals and pursue continuous improvement.
• Monitor hourly workers and evaluate performance.
• Oversee hiring, training, and discipline as needed for shifts.
• Coordinate with maintenance, shipping, quarry, and lab teams.
• Ensure quality control adjustments meet specs and are documented.
• Prepare daily reports and maintain production records.
• Supervise equipment repairs and maintenance by teams.
