Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Maintenance Manager to supervise maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance across plant equipment. You will manage maintenance staff, plan budgets, and oversee capital projects at the plant level.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree (or equivalent) and at least 5 years in a cement plant with leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of MSHA/EPA regs and blueprints is essential.

Qualifications

• 4 year/Bachelors Degree in engineering or related field is required. In lieu of degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cement manufacturing facility with management responsibilities.
• Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
• Proficient in English written, verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to lead/manage others.
• Knowledge of MSHA safety regulations and EPA environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Establishs, communicates, and assigns job responsibilities, goals, and performance standards for Maintenance Department employees.
• Collaborates with other department management regarding maintenance projects and priorities.
• Reviews, plans, schedules and supervises all maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
• Develops and executes major shutdown schedules and post-shutdown critiques.
• Oversees all aspects of the maintenance department and budgets.
• Coordinates with vendors and contractors for repairs and equipment.
