Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior CEI Inspector to lead construction engineering inspections in the Cartersville, GA area.

The role involves supervising inspectors, managing documentation, and supporting contract administration on transportation projects. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of roadway/bridge inspection experience, lead-inspector exposure, and GDOT certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of progressive transportation technician experience with a State Highway Agency or consultant, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.
• Experience inspecting roadway and bridge construction projects.
• Experience serving as a lead inspector and coordinating inspection personnel.
• Passing the GDOT Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests – Group 1/2/3.
• GDOT WECS and GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification; GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control).
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle in GA.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced-level construction engineering inspection for roadway and bridge projects.
• Conduct materials sampling, inspection, and testing per project requirements.
• Serve as Lead Project Inspector with independent inspections.
• Supervise lower-level inspectors on routine to moderately complex tasks.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, and conformance to plans and specs.
• Assist with contract administration and project documentation.
