Job summary
Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior CEI Inspector for the District 6/Cartersville, GA area. The role leads inspection teams, conducts complex roadway and bridge inspections, and supports contract administration and documentation tasks.
The position requires a strong background in transportation inspection, plan reading, and field testing, with GDOT certification readiness. Local travel and a valid Georgia driver’s license are expected.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of transportation technician experience; or a related degree with 4+ years of experience.
- Experience inspecting roadway and bridge construction projects.
- Experience serving as lead inspector and coordinating inspection personnel.
- Ability to obtain GDOT certifications and pass qualification tests within specified time frames.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced-level construction engineering inspection for roadway and bridge projects.
- Conduct materials sampling, inspection, and testing to verify compliance with requirements.
- Lead project inspections and supervise lower-level inspectors.
- Monitor construction processes for compliance with plans, specs, and contract requirements.
- Assist with contract administration, field measurements, and project documentation.
