Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Senior CEI Inspector to lead advanced construction inspection for transportation projects in the Cartersville, GA area.

You will supervise inspectors, perform complex inspections, and assist with contract administration and project documentation. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with 4+ years of transportation inspection experience or an equivalent combination, and GDOT certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of transportation technician experience with a State Highway Agency or consultant.
• Alternative: Non-Engineering/Construction Management degree with 4+ years of transportation technician experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and directly related experience.
• Experience inspecting roadway and bridge construction projects.
• Experience serving as lead inspector and coordinating inspection personnel.
• GDOT certifications and tests as specified: WECS, Field Concrete Technician, GSWCC Level 1a.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced-level construction engineering inspection for roadway and bridge projects.
• Supervise and guide lower-level inspectors on field assignments.
• Monitor workmanship and materials for compliance with plans and specs.
• Maintain project documentation and field measurements for pay items.
• Conduct contract administration duties and prepare reports.
• Participate in meetings and review CPM schedules and close-out activities.
• Support administration of locally administered transportation projects.
• Assist with project engineering duties when assigned.
