Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in carrier procurement or transportation ops in 3PL/freight brokerage
• 1-3+ years leading a capacity planning/dispatch team
• Source capacity, negotiate rates, balance service with margin
• Knowledge of U.S. domestic ground transport; FTL/LTL, charges
• Proven ability to manage high-volume ops and coach peers

Responsibilities

• Oversee Capacity Planning Specialists securing carrier coverage and dispatch
• Monitor open shipments and rebalance workloads during spikes
• Guide rate negotiations, service requirements, and escalations
• Coach team on performance, execution and issue resolution
• Ensure final cost accuracy and margin discipline
