Job summary

Insight Global in Houston, TX is seeking a Capacity Planning Specialist to join our ground transportation team. You will source carrier capacity, confirm rates and equipment, and coordinate dispatch and pickup/delivery appointments to meet customer requirements.

You will monitor shipments and carrier performance, track ETAs, and address service issues while maintaining documentation and validating charges in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and securing qualified carrier capacity for shipments.
• Confirming rates and equipment for each shipment.
• Completing dispatch and coordinating pickup and delivery appointments.
• Actively monitor shipments and carrier performance.
• Track ETAs and communicate potential service issues to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal operations to ensure loads meet customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipment documentation and validate final carrier charges and accessorials.
• Resolve carrier, capacity, and service issues in a fast-paced, high‑volume environment.
