Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC (SSG) is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to support the Veterans Affairs program. This is a 100% U.S.-based remote position with full-time, W-2 employment and US citizenship required.

The role demands 20+ years of professional experience, deep knowledge of Agile and SAFe, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with government regulations. A Public Trust (MBI) clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects.
• Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements and workflows.
• Proficiency creating functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process diagrams.
• Experience with UML and BPMN for business modeling.
• Proficiency with Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Microsoft Project.
• Understanding of database concepts and basic SQL.
• Strong analytical skills in data interpretation and presentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; translate tech to business.

Responsibilities

• Improve processes via continuous improvement, redesign, change management, and performance metrics.
• Define and develop processes, policies, roles, and metrics.
• Analyze current state, gaps, benchmarking, best practices, and org assessment.
• Plan future state designs, change management, and transition planning.
• Coordinate with customer, IT, and client services across projects.
• Oversee quality programs to ensure compliance and performance.
• Guide in applying Agile and SAFe to align strategy and portfolio.
• Translate policies and regulations into compliant practices.
• Conduct client interviews and deliver training on measurement and control.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses and track objective achievement.
• Lead and mentor junior analysts; manage cross-functional teams.
