Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to drive process improvements within the Veterans Affairs (VA) portfolio. This remote, full-time role requires extensive experience in Agile/SAFe, process modeling, and cross-functional leadership.

The ideal candidate will lead analyses, design future states, coordinate with technology teams, and mentor junior analysts while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. U.S. citizenship is required for this opportunity.

Qualifications

Proven track record leading and delivering complex projects.
Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements, processes, and workflows.
Proficiency in creating functional specs, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
Experience with UML and BPMN for business modeling.
Proficiency with Visio/Lucidchart or similar tools for documentation.
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

Lead continuous process improvement, organizational redesign, and change management initiatives.
Define and develop business processes, policies, roles, and performance metrics.
Analyze current state, gaps, benchmarking, and best practices for projects.
Plan and implement future state design and transition plans.
Coordinate with customer, IT services, and client services teams.
Oversee development of quality programs, processes, and procedures for compliance.
Provide guidance on interpreting policies and regulations to ensure compliance.
Lead and mentor junior analysts and cross-functional teams.
Deliver presentations and training on measurement, analysis, and control.
Perform cost-benefit analyses and track objective attainment.
