Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, Workers Compensation Division, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive business development and brand strategy across multiple states and territories. The role collaborates with Underwriting and other corporate resources to source opportunities by industry and class code, while monitoring agency performance and enhancing the customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in the workers compensation insurance industry (Mid-Level).
• Minimum of seven (7) years for Senior-Level, preferably in a Marketing or Underwriting role.

Responsibilities

• Creates and executes territory plans that demonstrate a clear understanding of territory with effective travel plans.
• Position BHHC as the market of choice with agents and target markets.
• Monitors agency growth and profitability; develops plans for growth and profitability.
• Manages agency partnerships to achieve minimum premium standards and growth goals.
• Conducts in-person agency visits and participates in prospect meetings and stewardship meetings.
• Educates agents on BHHC’s value proposition and territory goals.

Education
