Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an Operating Engineer for an onsite role in Thornton, CO. You will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across electrical, HVAC, piping and central utility systems to support daily work orders.

The role requires 4+ years in building systems, EPA 608 Type II certification, and CMMS experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected, and the position involves physical activity and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze the operation of Commercial/Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC systems and take corrective action.
• EPA 608 Type II Certification is required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is required.
• 4+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety and Control systems.
• Maintain facility services, preventative maintenance, inventory control, and contractor supervision.
• Calibrate and replace parts to optimize HVAC system performance.
• Record readings and adjust equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Safely store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials; maintain a clean work area.
• Monitor tool and instrument inventory and assess outside contractor work quality.
• Work may involve bending, kneeling, lifting, and climbing; applicable safety protocols apply.
