Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Washington, DC, is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to manage on-site operations for a Class A office building, focusing on mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.

You will supervise a small engineering team, handle preventative maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, and coordinate with tenants. On-site schedule 6am-2:30pm with on-call rotation; OSHA-safety and high standards of service are expected.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or intent to obtain within first year.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
• Assist in supervising and implementing the preventative maintenance program.
• Maintain CMMS work orders and respond to tenant service requests.
• Train and supervise engineering team members.
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
