Job summary

JLL in Boulder, CO is seeking an Operating Engineer to maintain and repair facility systems, focusing on electrical, HVAC, piping, and central utility plant operations. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and service equipment to keep systems running safely and efficiently.

The role requires 2–4 years of building systems experience, EPA 608 Type II certification, and proficiency with Word/Excel. This onsite position offers benefits and a compensation range of roughly $65,120–$81,400 per year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-4 years experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Ability to analyze the operation of various commercial or industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and take corrective action.
• EPA 608 Type II Certification.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and monitor repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and life Safety systems to keep facilities up to code.
• Maintain facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, and contractor management.
• Calibrate and service HVAC equipment to keep systems at optimum performance.
• Record readings and adjust equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Adhere to safety policies for storage and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean workplace.
• Monitor outside contractor quality and pricing; perform call-in duties as required.
