Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Nashville, TN is seeking an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. This on-site role schedules Monday–Friday with potential overtime and on-call duties.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, and maintain the CMMS while ensuring safety and high-quality service to tenants.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance).
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance.
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete tenant service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspection tasks.
• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable).
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Comply with safety procedures and participate in training programs.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.
