Job summary

Lincoln Property Company in Dallas seeks a Lead Building Engineer to oversee daily operations and maintenance of building systems, ensuring safety and efficiency while guiding engineering staff and contractors.

This role focuses on preventive maintenance, system performance, compliance with OSHA/NFPA, and collaboration with tenants and vendors to resolve issues, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of industry-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain as requested; possess engineering and trade licenses required according to local, state, or national requirements.
• Proven ability to supervise, train, and mentor staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating condition of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs for the building.
• Oversee service contractors while ensuring compliance with building standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians; assist in setting staff performance goals.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers to ensure reliable operations and resolve issues.
• Identify scopes of work with vendors and oversee contract compliance and quality control.
• Conduct regular building inspections and address deficiencies.
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules and ensure execution.
• Record equipment readings and ensure systems operate to standards.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure OSHA, NEC, NFPA compliance; maintain logs.
• Communicate with teammates, leadership, vendors, tenants, and client employees professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
