Job summary

Lincoln Property Company seeks a Lead Building Engineer in Arlington, VA to oversee day-to-day operations of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems and lead engineering staff. You will supervise contractors, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure safety compliance, quality control, and tenant satisfaction while aligning with building standards and company policies.

You will partner with property managers and vendors to optimize performance, document readings, and respond to emergencies,

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Five to seven years of industry-related experience.
• At least one year of supervisory/mentoring experience.
• CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical operating conditions.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Oversee service contractors and ensure building standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers.
• Identify scopes of work and oversee contract compliance.
• Conduct regular building inspections and address deficiencies.
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules and readings.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA/NEC/NFPA regulations.
• Communicate with teams and clients professionally; perform other duties.
