Job summary

The Lead Building Engineer at Lincoln Property Company oversees day-to-day operations and maintenance of building systems, ensuring reliable and safe performance while supervising engineering staff and contractors.

Based in Lincoln, this in-office role requires after-hours availability, strong knowledge of BAS, HVAC, electrical controls, and compliance with OSHA and NFPA standards. You will mentor junior engineers and coordinate with tenants and vendors to maintain optimal building operations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Five to seven years of industry-related experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• CFC certification preferred or willing to obtain; licenses as required by local/state.
• Proficient with MS Office, energy management software, CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee service contractors and ensure compliance with standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers/technicians.
• Collaborate with tenants, vendors, and property managers.
• Oversee safety protocol compliance and training.
• Record readings and ensure systems operate per standards.
