Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, seeks an experienced sales professional to represent the company with major customers. The role focuses on gathering customer needs, developing sales proposals, and coordinating with internal teams to meet design specifications for residential, multi-family, and commercial projects.

The position emphasizes strong product knowledge, effective presentations, and the ability to train less experienced staff while driving sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or related field; two years sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company during the sales process by collecting data on customer needs and design specifications; act as liaison between internal staff and customer in developing sales proposals.
• Develops sales contracts for projects across residential, multi-family and commercial by collecting specification information from client engineers or architects and conveying needs to staff.
• Troubleshoots field issues which may be difficult to resolve or are complex in nature.
• Plan and conduct sales presentations; design demonstrations of products and services and show how they meet client needs.
• Research and solicit new customers; generate sales opportunities through market research and product demonstrations.
• Update customers on products and services; explain how offerings meet current or future requirements.
• Participates in leadership roles and training for less experienced outside sales reps.
