Job summary

Cathay Bank seeks a seasoned Deposit Operations Manager to lead a team of 5-6 Deposit Operations Officers in Rosemead, CA. You will resolve branch operational issues, guide policy and procedural changes, and coordinate monthly CSSM and Regional Operations Officer meetings.

You will drive process improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in major initiatives related to branch services and risk management. Strong leadership and banking systems knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree with business classes preferred or equivalent experience required.
• Experience: 5-7 years of deposit and/or branch operations experience, preferably in a back-office environment, required.
• 3 years of management experience or leading a team.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations and operational controls.
• Has an in-depth understanding of the various systems used by the branch network.

Responsibilities

• Answers branch or department inquiries on branch operations, policy/procedures, customer service, compliance, and training related issues.
• Analyzes and resolves procedural issues; handles escalations from the team through resolution.
• Works with Audit, Physical Security, Compliance to improve policies and procedures; enforces changes.
• Oversees Branch Review and Callback Centralization programs to assess risks and provide training.
• Reviews branch audit reports and call logs to identify trends and address gaps.
