Job summary

Cathay Bank in California is seeking a Branch Service Supervisor to support branch sales goals and oversee customer service and operations. You will lead Relationship Bankers and operations staff, coach performance, and ensure adherence to bank policies while delivering quality service.

The role emphasizes staff development, cross-selling, compliance, and collaboration with Branch/Relationship Managers to onboard new customers and expand business.

Qualifications

• Three to five years' experience in a similar capacity with management/supervisory responsibilities.
• Thorough knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
• General knowledge of complex support systems, branch efficiency and productivity, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Direct sales experience desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bi-lingual English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with bank personnel, corporate and clients to deliver quality service.
• Profile customers during new accounts and teller transactions to identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Develop and track individual performance goals with coaching and mentoring.
• Achieve team and individual sales production goals.
• Collaborate with Branch/Relationship Managers on onboarding plans and product setup.
• Support business development activities to grow branch profitability.
• May register as MLO to support loan inquiries and related functions.
• Represent the bank in outside professional activities.
